BUCKLE UP: The First ‘In Fear’ Trailer Reminds You To Drive Carefully

As far as major studio horror efforts go, 2013 has felt relatively weak overall. The Evil Dead was undeniably entertaining, but beyond that there are very few titles we’re looking forward to and even less that we have enjoyed in the months that have already passed. Luckily, the quality indie horror seems to be at an all-time high this year, and this morning we have another exciting trailer to share.

Premiering first at Empire Online, the official debut trailer for Jeremy Lovering’s In Fear adds another ‘must-see’ entry to the list of upcoming indie efforts. Lucy (Alice Englert) and Tom (Iain De Caestecker) are on their way to their country home from a music festival when things take a literal (and metaphorical) turn for the worst. This may seem like the plot to 1000s of previous films, and initially it does seem that way, but as the trailer plays out it becomes clear there is something much more sinister afoot. Great editing keeps the preview from revealing too much however, so we’ll just have to speculate what happens until the film surfaces stateside. You can view the trailer below.

In Fear premiered at Sundance and is currently scheduled for a Fall release in the UK. No word yet on a US date, but rest assured we on keeping an eye out for updates. In the meantime, comment below and let us know your thoughts on the trailer.
