Andrew McMahon Streams “Catching Cold”

Andrew McMahon

Andrew McMahon has partnered with the folks at Alternative Press Magazine to stream a new song off his forthcoming Pop Underground EP.

The fourth song to be released off the effort, which also happens to be McMahon’s first solo release, “Catching Cold” is another stunning track to add to McMahon’s much-adored catalog. The track is driven by muted synth coupled with splashes of guitar that serve as a backdrop for McMahon’s passionate delivery. A bit of tweaking is added to his voice when the hook enters, but nothing so extreme that it seems unusual for his music. Overall, it’s exactly what you would expect based on the other material released, and it keeps you hungry for the full offering. You can stream the song over on AP’s site.

Pop Underground will see release tomorrow, April 30. Look for a review of the effort to appear on UTG before the week is out.
