As I Lay Dying Comment On Tim Lambesis’ Arrest

Tim Labesis 2013

This week has been batshit insane. Between Patrick Stump calling out haters on Twitter, Emmure’s Frankie Palmeri being electrocuted on stage in Moscow, and especially this entire Tim Lambesis situation, it’s a crazy week for news about musicians that has nothing to do with music.

We knew the members of As I Lay Dying would eventually comment on the arrest of frontman Tim Lambesis, and last night the band finally broke their silence. In a statement released to fans and press, the additional members of the group confessed to being as in the dark about Lambesis’ activities as the rest of us. You can read their message below:

“To our fans,
As we post this, the legal process is taking its course and we have no more information than you do. There are many unanswered questions, and the situation will become clearer in the coming days and weeks. We’ll keep you informed as best we can.

Our thoughts right now are with Tim, his family, and with everyone else affected by this terrible situation – and with our fans, whom we love and draw strength from.

Thank you for understanding, and as always, for your support of As I Lay Dying.

– Jordan, Nick, Phil, and Josh“

Lambesis is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon for arraignment on charges in connection with allegations he attempted to hire a hitman to kill his estranged wife. We are monitoring the situation and will bring you updates as soon as new information becomes available.
