UTG EXCLUSIVE STREAM: Trophy Scars – “Qeres”

Trophy Scars have had a long, progressive journey through experimentation, various personnel adjustments and maturation, both as people and skilled musicians. From their first efforts way back when on Darts To The Sea all the way up to 2011’s cherished Never Born, Never Dead, this New Jersey outfit have always stood apart from their peers. With Jerry Jones’ signature vocal delivery and unique raconteurism backed by the impressive musical prowess from his TS comrades, each of the band’s releases have found a home in the heart of each individual in their dedicated fanbase — and have drawn an abundance of new listeners to their talents as well.

With two EPs and a 7-inch split released in the past 4 years since their last full-length record, said fans have been anxiously awaiting their next LP, but with Trophy Scars being an independent band, and a meticulous one at that, these things take much-needed time. Since announcing their next album, Holy Vacants, early last year, the previous anticipation has risen tenfold. Once we got to talk to Jerry about the album in detail, UTG and the rest of the TS fanbase quickly went from anxious to impatient.

So without any further flurry or fuss, UTG is extremely pleased to bring you this exclusive stream of (the unmastered) “Qeres” from Trophy Scars’ forthcoming album, Holy Vacants. This is the second track on the effort but only the first to see a full stream! You can listen to “Qeres” below and read a statement after the jump from vocalist Jerry Jones regarding the release of Holy Vacants and some upcoming Summer tour dates.
