Atreyu Tease Ending Hiatus; Consider Recording With “None Of That Major Label BS”

Remember Atreyu? A decade ago they were the next great heavy hope of Victory Records and their album The Curse was in production, but just over two years ago the group announced they would be taking “a long break” with the promise of not breaking up. The members quickly embarked on various solo projects and new groups, none of which have found success comparable to Atreyu, and now it seems the men from Orange County may be together once again.

On Saturday, May 11, a status update was posted to the official Atreyu account that reads “REPOST- If you want ATREYU to write a new song for your ears to bleed too. Lets see how many really want a new track.” The post garnered over 17,000 Likes and 3,000 shares in less than twenty-four hours.” The band did not reply to the thousands of fans asking if this meant the hiatus was officially over, but the band did mention the possibility of recording again on Sunday with the following message:

I’m thinking, if we did do 1 new Atreyu song, it won’t be for a few months BUT I would like it to be given away free to our fans. You guys have given us soo much, if we can get it done , how cool would that be??? Truly punk rock! Just thinking aloud!

Enjoy Mother’s Day! I am- ALpal

Ps yes there will be tons of screaming and shredding ala the curse etc. none of that major label BS. Cross your fingers

At this time no further information regarding the possibility of Atreyu ending their hiatus has been revealed, but we are continuing to monitor the situation closely. Until that time, comment below and let us know if you would be interested in seeing the group reunite.
