UTG LIST: Pixar Movies We Want to See Sequels To

You have to really be careful how you word things, because it can get many hopes up. Talking to you, Bob Iger, Disney CEO. Last week Bob mentioned in a conference call that Pixar has “fantastic original stories as well as some great sequels to their previous hits.” That’s not just sequel, which is Finding Nemo’s Finding Dory due out November 2015. That alludes to some other movies in the works, right?

It makes you wonder what they have up their sleeves for some of the movies we already know we love. So here are five movies that we at UTG want to see Pixar give another breath of life to.

A Bug’s Life

This one came out between the monster franchise that is Toy Story, so sometimes it’s swept under the rug like a meaningless little bug (pun definitely intended). We never got to see how the colony held up after Atta took over as Queen or how the circus bugs would’ve assimilated into their new lives living at the colony full-time.

The Incredibles

If Iron-Man, The Avengers and Spider Man can have a new story every other year, why not the most super family in the Disney universe?

Monsters Inc.

Wait, they’re getting one already? Not really, they’re getting a prequel and we’re still left wondering what happened to Boo.

Ratatouille

This one makes the cut thanks to our own Brian Lion already dubbing it Rata2ille. The title alone makes me want to hear Patton Oswald as a chunky rat again.

Now here’s a list of ones that we think Pixar shouldn’t even look at when thinking about adding on to.

Toy Story

The third installment was a perfect ending to the story. If they did want to do another Toy Story, maybe a spin-off that’s focused on Buzz?

Wall-E

Did this one make an impression on anyone under the age of 16? I think this one went over kids’ heads, so just leave it be. The adults who adored it are just fine with it being a one-time thing.

Up

Just no — Carl was already like 100 years old during the first one. We don’t need to see any further into the future of that storyline.

Cars

This one has gotten a little out of control. Really, Planes…They didn’t even try to make them look different from the cars of Cars. They need to retire all modes of transportation before the inevitable Shoes comes out and we’re forced to see ads with talking Crocs.
