The number of remixes that are submitted to UTG is sometimes ridiculous. Whether it’s unknown rappers trying to cash in on a popular beat with their own poorly-produced freestyle, or a DJ trying to make a classic track their own, people constantly contact us about posting their interpretation of previously successful tracks. For the most part, these messages don’t offer much in the form of quality content, but every now and then something comes through that makes us stop and say “Wow.” This post is about one such track.

Austrian producer, Dead Battery, has released a refreshing new version of Notorious B.I.G.’s legendary hit, “Everyday Struggle.” The gruff track is now backed by piano and a sample on the hook that makes the whole thing feel more timeless than ever before. It’s the kind of reinterpretation you can play at any time of day, but we found it perfect for motivating our tired minds this morning. You can stream and download the remix below.
