Holy Ghost! Debut New Single; Touring with New Order

If the retirement of LCD Soundsystem has left you wanting more, we here at Under The Gun Review have an excellent replacement. The New York duo, Holy Ghost!, debuted the video for their new single, “Dumb Disco Ideas,” which features an impressive colorful light show upon a New York rooftop. The track times out over 8 minutes, and for a song of this length doesn’t lose the listener’s attention one bit. You can purchase it now digitally, or pre-order the 200-run vinyl pressing.

The track is scheduled to be released on the upcoming album, Dynamics. Coincidentally, Holy Ghost! is signed to the DFA Records, which is owned and operated by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. It’s apparent their NYC roots, lengthy progressive dance grooves, and solid use of agogô bell doesn’t fall too far from the tree. Either way, Holy Ghost! still manages to deliver their own flavor, and bring a pop element which is quite refreshing.

The band will also be fairly busy this summer with a solid list of tour dates, including a leg with indie legends, New Order. Holy Ghost! will also be playing the highly anticipated Governors Ball Music Festival in New York on June 7 at Randall’s Island Park.

Tour dates, and the video for the new song, “Dumb Disco Ideas,” can be viewed below.
