Obsessed Taylor Swift Fan Arrested For Swimming To Singer’s Rhode Island Home

I don’t know about you, but something about this Wednesday has me in need of a good laugh. The week is only half over and I feel like I’ve already conquered a mountain (or two) of work. Luckily, some idiot from Chicago just provided us with lols for the day. We can all be a bit obsessive about our favorite artists, but this guy might have taken things a bit too far.

According to a story posted on TMZ this morning, a 22-year-old man from Chicago was arrested around 2AM (EST) this morning, May 15, after he was spotted swimming to shore outside the pop superstar’s Rhode Island home. No, this is not a joke.

According to reports, cops noticed the man about a mile from the property around 2:20 AM, and upon questioning him learned that he had allegedly just returned from a swim – during which he intended to meet Swift. This didn’t happen for a number of reasons, probably including the fact it was 2AM in the morning. The man allegedly informed offices that upon arriving at Swift’s estate he quickly turned around after noticing her security team, which means he swam a total of [at least] two miles in the chilly ocean water, and soon after he was arrested and hauled into custody on trespassing charges. The man, as well as his name, have yet to be released.

Speaking to the gossip site, the Westerly Police Dept. claimed to have a a zero tolerance policy for trespassers.” Police have reportedly discussed the matter with Swift’s security team as well, but no additional information is currently available.

We do not really expect this story to go much further, but it’s always nice to know you’re not the craziest music fan in the world.
