Katy Perry Pokes Fun At “Hate Being Sober”; Chief Keef Replies With Threat

I’m starting to lose count of the number of times I’ve had to write about Chicago rapper Chief Keef getting himself into trouble for things that have very little to do with him releasing new music, but here we are once more.

Tuesday evening, May 21, Katy Perry tweeted “Just heard a new song on the radio called “I hate being sober” I now have serious doubt for the world.” The post went on to receive over 15,000 retweets, which is impressive for any message, let alone one condemning someone for partying sent by a girl who once sang about blacking out and having a three-way. Perry did not offer any additional thoughts, and everyone assumed the tweet had passed by without causing any drama.

Two days later, on May 23, Chief Keef finally caught word of Perry’s tweet. Just like Perry opted to not tag Keef in her post, the young artist did not tag the pop diva when he wrote “Dat bitch Katy Perry Can Suck Skin Off Of my Dick,” or his immediate follow-up which read, “Ill Smack The Shit out her.” Perhaps the most surprising moment of the exchange, at least this far, came ten minutes after those first two messages. Just when we all thought we could go on with our lives, Keef posted “New Song Katy Perry Coming Soon.”

Whether or not Keef releases “Katy Perry” is anyone’s guess, but I certainly would not put such a move past him. That said, how long will we have to put up with this childish moments of outrage before people realize Keef may still be too much of a child to handle the responsibility that comes with celebrity? The answer, at least from what I can gather, is too damn long. Stay tuned for updates.
