Surfer Blood has released a slew of new tracks in the past few months. Everything from “Weird Shapes,” to even the b-side from their Record Store Day 7″, “Slow Six.”
Today, Surfer Blood unveils another new track, teasing their new album, Pythons, even further. The track is entitled “Gravity,” and is the perfect blend of their newer and old material.
Their 2009 effort, Astro Coast, was extremely well received and brought a new flavor to the already overly populated reverb soaked genre. As mentioned above, the band has not diverted from their roots too much. They still manage to capture all of the same vibes that made fans fall in love with them in the first place, but include a little more of a formulaic songwriting structure. No problem here on our end. The new tracks sound incredible, and we are all looking forward to the new album.

Pythons is due out on June 11, and will be the first major label release by the band via Warner Music. Pre-orders are available now here.
