After months of teasing us with new track after new track, the kind people over at NPR were nice enough to kick off our workweek on a positive note. NPR have teamed up with Surfer Blood to present the exclusive first listen of their new album, Pythons.

With the warm weather already upon us in many areas, Surfer Blood’s surfer-esque pop-rock is sure to cool things down a bit. The album is a little more straight forward compared to their 2010 release, Astro Coast, but all of the familiar vocal melodies and guitar style is still present. Pythons was co-produced by Gil Norton (Pixies) and mixed by Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith).
