CollegeHumor’s First Movie: ‘Coffee Town’

CollegeHumor is taking the leap into films with their first VOD release, Coffee Town.

The so called “comedy leaders” have been just that with videos that cause watchers to often lose focus and remain on their site for far too long. Now they’ve decided that they need to up their game. Their successful shorts have only been 5-10 minutes for years, but can they hold the attention of their audience for 87 minutes? They sure hope so.

Coffee Town stars It’s Always Sunny’s Glenn Howerton as a man who uses the local coffee shop as his office and the place he must fight to save. This is both sad and funny all at the same time. He has a band of friends, Steve Little (Eastbound & Down) and Ben Schwartz (Parks & Recreation), a love interest, Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights), and a sworn enemy, Josh Groban. Groban’s role is ironic since his music is often sold at coffee shops, and in the movie he’s a barista. New Girl’s Jake Johnson also pops up as a spirit of sorts.

Teaming CollegeHumor up with stars like these can’t be that bad, but judge for yourself and check out the trailer below.
