Sting Announces First Album In 10 Years, ‘The Last Ship’

Sting has not put out an album of all new material since his 2003 album, Sacred Love. That all changes in September.

Sting plans on releasing his eleventh studio album, The Last Ship, on September 24 via Cherrytree/Interscope/A & M Records.

Billboard reports that the music tells the story of “the declining shipbuilding business in Wallsend, England, where the real life Gordon Sumner grew up.” Apparently, Sting has been working on these arrangements for three years.

Keep your eyes peeled for a track-listing and maybe even a new song stream if we are lucky.
