Just three days after premiering at Summer Jam, 2 Chainz has released the studio audio for his latest single, “Feds Watching.”

Kicking off the promotion for his forthcoming Sophomore album, which we expect to drop at the end of summer, “Feds Watching” is a song for the season if we have heard one. It feels like a straightforward hip hop track up front, but as you dig into the beat there are a number of island/caribbean influences that give the whole affair a ‘party in the sun’ type of vibe. The chorus only further matters, with a chorus that is both innocent enough to pass parents and simple enough to become a trending topic with little-to-no effort. As long as fans flock to the idea of cops watching you while you’re just trying to have a good time this is going to be a smash. Stream “Feds Watching” below.

It should be noted “Feds Watching” is aided in big ways by the appearance of Pharrell both on the mic and behind the boards. 2 Chainz has certainly come a long way in his own right, but without Pharrell’s added magic I doubt we’d be as crazy about this track.
