Nine Inch Nails Announce US Stadium Tour With Explosions In The Sky & Godspeed You! Black Emperor

NineInchNails061301

Talk about going from dormant to the center of attention. In the matter of a week, we’ve gone from not knowing when new Nine Inch Nails would come, to knowing the name of the lead single and it dropping early, to getting a firm release date of the new album (September 3), to the present, where we now know the details of Nine Inch Nails’ stadium tour, according to Pitchfork. The opener? Either Explosions in the Sky or Godspeed You! Black Emperor depending on the date. Maybe Trent Reznor went on a post rock phase in the past five years.

While the price is unknown (and no ticket date has been released, either), one could expect it to be high based around the fact that it’s a stadium tour. Supposedly, the light works on this tour will be even better than those on the Lights In The Sky Tour that followed The Slip. Hardcore fans will remember the Lights In The Sky tour had an amazing light show, while the NiN/JA and Wave Goodbye Tours took a more minimalist approach.

Stick around after the break to see the full dates, and get giddy for everything Nine Inch Nails is doing.

I finished school with a music theory degree. Before I finished school, I was a janitor. You really should apologize to all the janitors you've ever had. You hurt them. Seriously. You did.

But, now that we've cleared that up and you called your high school janitor, know that I quit being a janitor to pursue writing about music. So here I am, and here you are, and hey how are you?
