Earl Sweatshirt Sets Release Month For ‘Doris’

The wait is almost over, folks. Earl Sweatshirt’s follow-up to Earl will finally see the light of day in 2013.

Speaking with MTV Australia this week, Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All member Earl Sweatshirt finally revealed information regarding the release of his highly-anticipated new album, Doris. Earl offered, “I’m wrapping everything up so it’s coming out in July. I can’t wait for this sh*t to come out already so I can finally exhale.”

Fellow Odd Future member Tyler, The Creator, also present for the interview, added “You heard it here [on MTV] first. End of July!”

News of Doris finally nearing release should come as a blessing to fans who have been impatiently awaiting a proper release from Sweatshirt. He started pushing singles for the album with the release of “Chum” back in November, and then followed that in March with the Tyler, The Creator collaboration “Whoa.” Additionally, Sweatshirt has been captured on camera performing chunks of another four or five tracks expected to make the record. Stay tuned for an official Doris street date in the weeks ahead.
