Kanye West may be refusing to release any audio or videos to the internet prior to the June 18 release of Yeezus, but that did not stop the Chicago-bred rapper from debuting new material last night in New York City.
Taking to the stage as a headliner during last night’s festivities, Kanye West premiered a number of Yeezus cuts to the hungry NYC crowd. At one point, Kanye offered “”Honestly, when I listen to radio, that ain’t where I wanna be no more. At this point, I could give a fuck about selling a million records, as long as I put out an album that you can rock to all motherfucking summer.” I’m not sure if that is the best description for the material that follows, but it is certainly unlike anything you’ll find on the radio today. You can view performance clips at the end of this post.
