Kings of Leon Announce New Album, ‘Mechanical Bull’

Kings of Leon have been quiet since announcing their hiatus. During their break, many fans were left asking the question, “when is the new album coming out?”

Today, on the band’s YouTube account, a video featuring Jimmy Fallon was released announcing Kings of Leon’s sixth studio album entitled, Mechanical Bull, and is slated for release on September 24, 2013. This marks the first official release since their 2010 album, Come Around Sundown.

Unfortunately, there has not been anymore info or details on the release. However, when talking about the new album, bassist Jared Followill told NME, “I thought we were going to make a really mature album but I’m amazed how youthful it sounds. It’s like a mix of Youth & Young Manhood and Because of the Times.” That sure is enough to get everyone here at Under The Gun buzzing.
