Last Witness Call It Quits

After seven years of making a name for themselves within the British metalcore scene, Last Witness have announced they are disbanding.

While they did not indicate what led to the break-up, the group did reveal plans for a string of final shows. After playing Download Festival on June 15, they will embark on a European tour in August before wrapping it all up with one final London performance in September.

Follow the jump for a departure statement from the group and look out for an announcement concerning the specifics of the European tour and London farewell show in the near future.

“It’s over. After reflecting on the future of the band, both collectively and as individuals, we have decided that this is the end of the road for Last Witness. We have achieved far more than we ever set out to seven long years ago.

The band has broadened our horizons both figuratively and literally. We have met some truly inspiring people, seen some amazing places, and had experiences (good and bad) that we’ll never forget. To everyone that has helped us along the way – there are too many people to thank – we are eternally grateful. Some things are better forgotten, but nothing lasts forever.

So this is the end. No reunions, no comebacks, no encores. Thank you for everything.
