‘Terminator 5’ to Begin Filming in January 2014

It would seem that Arnold Schwarzenegger was true to his word when he said “I’ll be back.” At the 21st Century Financial Education Summit in Australia, the former politician/actor announced that the fifth installment of The Terminator series will most likely begin filming in January of 2014. Even more exciting, Schwarzenegger additionally made clear that he will in fact be reviving his role as the infamous killer cyborg:

“I’m very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star AS the Terminator, which we start shooting in January and I’m also going to do King Conan–to play that role and also to do another Twins movie. So I feel very proud of that. I feel very happy and I’m looking forward to doing those films.

As the last two Terminator films crafted under the direction of Warner Bros. saw only mild success, Paramount has recently secured the rights to the franchise in hopes of rebuilding a box office powerhouse. Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) already have a script in the works, though it is still unclear as to who will direct the film. Regardless, everyone should find solace in the fact that we will once again get to see Arnold Schwarzenegger in head-to-toe leather, wielding a shotgun, and breaking every femur within a 10-foot radius.
