Maybach Music Group member Wale continues to roll out material from his forthcoming album, and just last night he appeared on WCGI 107.5 in Chicago to debut a new recording titled “88.″
Produced by Just Blaze, “88” is the kind of hard-hitting yet somehow radio friendly track that helped Wale rise through the hip hop underground in the first place. The version we have this morning is a rip from the radio premiere, but it’s clear even with less than great quality that MMG likely have another hit on their hands. You can stream the track at the end of this post.
If “88” is any sign of what we can expect from The Gifted, consider us already in line for the album’s June 25 street date. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on “88.”
