Kanye West’s New Album ‘Yeezus’ Leaks Online; Def Jam Hunting Down Album Leaker

In a digital age, avoiding consumers from pirating music, movies, or software has become increasingly difficult. So when news broke that Kanye West’s new album, Yeezus, leaked online before its June 18 release date many people were not surprised. However, Def Jam, Roc-A-Fella Records, and West are on record stating they don’t intend on releasing any material before the album drops. In return, the music community and West’s label are looking for who dropped the ball.

TMZ reports that Def Jam’s “leaks division employs various methods to track down the source of a leak, as well as to put a stop to any further illicit file sharing. We’re told the record company already has a lead on who’s behind the leak and plans to take swift punitive action.” Doesn’t sound like it’ll be a good day for whoever is behind the leaking.

On the upside, Kanye West gives “no fucks at all.” Mashable was present at West’s album release party earlier this week, and when attendees asked about taking video and audio from the event, West began one of his typical rants. “I have this new strategy. It’s called no strategy,” West said. “This album is all about giving. This whole process is all about giving no f*cks at all.”

I thought the album was one of the most terrible ones I’ve ever heard. Track after track it’s all the same mindless repetitive phrases repeated over and over with a heavy auto-tune and a scratchy electronic backtrack that gets old after the first 30 seconds. I’m really glad I downloaded the leak instead of wasting my money buying it, I only gave it 1 listen before deleting the whole thing off my computer forever. I can’t believe Kanye thought this garbage was passable.
