Earlier today, Volcano Choir, the side-project of renowned Wisconsin musician and Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon, released “Byegone,” the first single off their upcoming album, Repave, due out September 3 via Jagjaguwar.
This roller coaster of a track is propelled forward by Vernon’s signature baritone, which is supported by an undeniably catchy, almost prog-rock riff, before exploding into a distant wail that will surely have your head bobbing happily.
