‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’ Pushed Back to August 2014, UTG Collectively Groans

Time to start your Tuesday off right with some really disappointing news. Robert Rodriguez’s newest addition to the Sin City francise, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For has been delayed ten months from its original October 2013 release date to August of 2014.

While no official word has been given as to why the film has been delayed for so long, we can speculate that a lot of it has to do with the crazy amounts of post-production time that go into making the film, since it was shot entirely in front of a green screen. For those of you who have seen the original Sin City, you know the effects were absolutely incredible, so it’s understandable that these films can take some time.

All that being said, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For has been hanging out in production hell for quite some time (pretty much since the original came out in 2004), and while we’d like to get really pissed off about this news, it’s hard to get mad about something that has already taken so long. Our expectations for the film are really high, but at this point Sin City: A Dame To Kill For could pretty much not exist and we wouldn’t know the difference. We’re going to be first in line when it eventually comes out, but when that line will actually form, time will tell. If there are any more delays though, well, I think the gif below just about sums up how I will feel about that..
