David Lynch Will Direct Video For Nine Inch Nails’ “Came Back Haunted”

The new Nine Inch Nails song “Came Back Haunted” will soon have a music video directed by David Lynch as reported by Pitchfork. Reznor tweeted the picture seen below of the two of them an hour ago with the caption “tl;dr”. There wasn’t much explanation, but we’re waiting to see what unfolds.

“Came Back Haunted” is off of their upcoming album, Hesitation Marks, which will be released September 3. It’s the group’s first album since 2008’s The Slip and can be heard live if you catch them on their upcoming “Tension” tour with Explosions In The Sky and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Unfortunately, Adrian Belew will not be joining them since his recent departure from the band.

The collaboration between Reznor and Lynch shouldn’t seem random. The two collaborated together on Lynch’s 1997 film Lost Highway and stay on good terms. Just look at those faces:
