Kate (Olivia Wilde) and Luke (Jake Johnson) are co-workers at a brewery in Chicago. They have one of those flirtatious friendships that seems more like they are in a relationship rather than just friends. However, Kate is with Chris (Ron Livingston), and Luke is with Jill (Anna Kendrick). Luke and Jill, being together for six years, are in the midst of marriage talks as things between Kate and Chris start heading south. Things get a little awkward between Kate and Luke as they find themselves alone together for the weekend.
