A$AP Rocky Releasing Instrumental Album This Summer

Not to be confused with Justin Bieber’s single, “Beauty and a Beat,” A$AP Rocky has announced he will be releasing an instrumental album this summer, entitled Beauty and the Beast: Slowed Down Sessions (Chapter 1). The news comes from a recent interview with MTV where the rapper talks about the project and what exactly the album may sound similar to.

A$AP Rocky is on the record saying the instrumentals are “really druggy, ambient, airy-shit,” that features “classical music and boom-bap Wu-Tang shit mixed together.” If that wasn’t enough, A$AP goes on to continue saying, “feels like it’s gonna get a lot of people through the summer. Before I got with my girlfriend, I’ve fucked 100 bitches to my soundtrack already and it ain’t even out yet.”

Rocky is no stranger to producing hip hop beats. In fact, he produced both “Long Live ASAP” and “Suddenly” on his debut album, Long.Live.A$AP, from earlier this year. Whether the new instrumental album is baby-making music or not, any A$AP Rocky news (besides ending a concert early because his hat was stolen) is good news for us at Under The Gun. Although there is no official date of release, the album is slated to be free to the public.
