Explosions In The Sky Release Video For “Wading,” Announce Short Tour

Texas post-rock band Explosions in the Sky have scored the film Prince Avalanche, a movie starring Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch that will hit theaters on August 9. The soundtrack to said film will be out on August 6; today, Explosions released an official video for one song from the soundtrack, “Wading.” The pre-order to the soundtrack is available here. From what we’ve heard, it seems to be their most atmospheric material yet, though it’s always hard to tell something like that until you’ve heard every song with an instrumental band.

If you planned on seeing the movie the day it came out, you will be fine if you live in any area except the one I do. Seriously. I can’t go see Prince Avalanche opening night because Explosions in the Sky will be stopping in my city that day. A six date tour was announced that hits Montreal and most of New England this August.
