Topshelf Records Sampler To Come Out July 11

Each year in the summer, Topshelf Records releases a free sampler (except for like, last year, where it came out in September when all you kids had gone back to school, but it was still warm and during the summer solstice so whatever). This year’s will come out on July 11. Though no track listing has been announced, it’s still exciting to know it’s coming so soon.

Topshelf is currently on a roll with great releases; The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die‘s Whenever, If Ever and A Great Big Pile Of Leaves‘ You’re Always On My Mind have scored two consecutive perfect scores in our reviews of the label’s albums, and Have Mercy‘s The Earth Pushed Back before that received a 9.5.

It should be noted that Topshelf Samplers always contain a multitude of songs by bands that aren’t on the label. Oddly enough, they introduced me to Joyce Manor a few years back. It’s also typically longer than most samplers, with last year’s being seventy-nine tracks long. When the free sampler is out, we’ll be sure to post the track listing and the link for you.
