Chris Brown Charged With Hit-And-Run

While it would be a pleasant change of pace to be able to report mildly positive news involving Chris Brown, some things unfortunately just don’t change. It was reported earlier today that the infamous entertainment star has been charged with criminal hit-and-run and driving without a valid license due to a minor accident last month where he allegedly gave out falsified insurance information and refused to give up his driver’s license number before fleeing the scene.

Both charges carry the possibility of up to six months in prison each, but in addition, Brown also faces up to four years in prison for violating his probation stemming back from his beating of Rihanna if found guilty.

As for Brown’s version of the incident, he claims he followed standard procedures but was reported to the police by the victim who was “thinking of a payday from Chris Brown.” To prove his point, he has also made a picture of the accuser’s apparently intact car his profile picture on Twitter.

Feel free to take a look at a series of tweets from Brown along with the aforementioned picture after the jump and stay tuned for more information concerning the case as it arises.
