Devildriver is by far the best metal band on the face of this EARTH!!! Every record gets more brutal! Wish they would post some new tour dates! Also(don’t hate cause I’m definitely going to buy the new record) wish the new album would leak, Dont think I can wait till august. Seen these guys 4 times in concert in Minnesota and I can’t wait till the 5th in Colorado!!!!

Why do the vocals of most bands of this ilk sound so similar? XM satellite radio’s old Liquid Metal channel (today just called XM Metal) has numerous vocalists that sound just as foul. The bands that have an individual-sounding vocalist are the ones that will break out big time; this band is not destined for that.

Serious?? Are you listening to the music? Obviously not. Dez has one of the most unique voices in METAL!! One of the best death growls and you can understand what he’s saying. Dez doesn’t want to go “big time” He just wants his music heard. I’m surprised more people haven’t responded to your comment in a negative way. I’m trying to be nice about it. They could have taken the easy road after Coal Chamber split, but they wanted to earn their ground again with this band, and thats exactly what they did. They started opening acts for Lamb of God, and they told them they should be headliners for how brutal their music is. And……The rest is history and they have definitely earned their spot in the world of metal music. Just sayin, not hatin! I wanna know what bands you listen to though. I’m seriously interested.

I’m glad you like him cause every singer has their fans. I think the band would be much better sounding with almost any other singer. I think he’s horrible and talentless. As they say, “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure.”
