UTG EXCLUSIVE: Bradley Walden Not Vocalist for Emarosa

Today, one of my favorite bands split up. Squid the Whale and their former vocalist, Bradley Walden, went their separate ways.

In doing so, each party left a statement on the Internet for their fans. Here is Squid’s, here is Walden’s.

In the singer’s statement, posted on PropertyOfZack, he made a quick-witted allusion to an offer made to him by Emarosa last year.

“The past should stay dead, I’m ready to embrace whatever the future brings.”

“The Past Should Stay Dead” is the title of a popular song from Emarosa’s Relativity.

This, of course, led many to believe that he left his former band for Emarosa, taking them up on their offer. Even former Emarosa vocalist, Jonny Craig, thought that this was true.

This is not the case, however. I have confirmed with Bradley Walden that he is not the vocalist for Emarosa, but that “nothing is off the table” at this point. It is possible that the two parties may reconsider their options now that the singer is no longer in a touring band, but that’s left for the future, kids.
