LISTEN: Franz Ferdinand – “Love Illumination” and “Right Action”

After what feels like too long of an absence, UK darlings Franz Ferdinand are finally hopping back into 2013 headlines. Following the announcement of their new album, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions, and tour, two tracks are now online for listening: “Love Illumination” and “Right Action.” Hear them below after the jump.

“Love Illumination” takes on a grizzly guitar riff that sounds like Jack White, whereas “Right Action” sees a more poppy setup with vocals verging on Talking Heads territory. Both songs feel appropriately packaged considering we haven’t heard anything from the group since their third album came out in 2009.

Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions comes out on August 27 through Domino.
