STREAM: Au Revoir Simone – “Somebody Who”

Hailing from the hipster Mecca of Williamsburg, Au Revoir Simone, a trio with one of the coolest monikers around, taken from Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, have just released a new single entitled “Somebody Who.”

The song is taken from the group’s upcoming full-length, Move in Spectrums, which is their first since 2009’s Still Night, Still Light apart from a 2010 remix album, Night Light. Move In Spectrums is set to release on Sept. 23 in Europe via Moshi Moshi and Sept. 24 in the US via Instant Records.

Admittedly, I never listened to their last album but I used to listen to their 2007 album, The Bird Of Music, when I was falling asleep and I can tell you that the production on “Somebody Who” is leaps and bounds more impressive and focused. With their usual brand of electronic dream pop, this track boasts plenty of happy synth work and handclaps with airy pop vocals to make you want to dance or at least move around in your seat.

You can enjoy “Somebody Who” after the jump and check out the neon album cover in the feature image to the left.
