Much to our amazement, after dominating World War Z last week, Pixar’s Monsters University has clung onto its number one spot for the second consecutive week. This week’s newcomers came in strong: The Heat, starring the duo of Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, had a great opening weekend with 40 million in sales, with almost 15 million separating it from Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx’s White House Down.
