Dave Grohl And Taylor Hawkins’ Chevy Metal Cover “Under Pressure”

How many side projects do the men of Foo Fighters have? Only a mystical man on a mountain can answer that, but Taylor Hawkin’s Chevy Metal performed at the Costa Mesa Fairgrounds this weekend and patrons got a special surprise, Dave Grohl.

Grohl joined his Foo Fighters mate onstage for some covers of Van Halen’s “Panama,” The Rolling Stones’ “Miss You,” and The Knacks’ “My Sharona.” You can check out their cover of Queen’s “Under Pressure” below. It comes after a lot of rambling by Grohl.

Cover bands and side projects aside, there’s new Foo Fighters coming soon. Hawkins told Billboard that they’re working on a new studio album and added, “We’re getting our ideas together. Dave (Grohl) has his brain working overtime, like usual, and he’s got a lot of great ideas, both musically and conceptually — none that I can speak of at this moment, but it’s gonna be great. It’s gonna be cool.”
