Always one to keep fans on their toes, Beck has emerged from the grey of studio life to stream a brand new single entitled, “I Won’t Be Long.”

Released within the last twenty-four hours alongside plans to release a 12″ on July 9, “I Won’t Be Long” is the second song to surface from Beck in 2013. The song has a driving tempo and reverb-drenched vocals, with hints of 80s alt-pop guiding lyrics about a life spent on the open road. It feels like summer, but has an underlying sense of sadness that hits home just as hard as the positivity emitting from the guitar work. You can stream “I Won’t Be Long” at the end of this post.
