Atmosphere Debuts “Bob Seger”

Just a short while after proclaiming they are “the Bob Seger of underground rap” over Twitter, Atmosphere has released a new single whose title just so happens to pay homage to the 70s rock deity himself.

Brought to life by the Twin City duo of rapper Slug and producer Ant, “Bob Seger” has all the makings of an underground classic. The beat feels made for driving around at night without a destination, and in a similar fashion the lyrics deal with the daily struggle of life. Like Seger, these two have released more material and performed far more historic shows than many of their contemporaries, yet still remain in a position that is unquestionably second to the mainstream. This song won’t change that, but it’s certainly entertaining. You can experience “Bob Seger” at the end of this post.

No word yet on whether or not “Bob Seger” is a single without an album, or the start to something bigger. Follow UTG on Twitter to ensure you never miss a headline.
