Not that you need another reason to think the week of Independence Day is awesome, but Ellie Goulding has given fans one just in case.
Letting the internet have a look into what her hit album Halcyon could have been, Ellie Goulding has released an album leftover entitled, “You, My Everything.”
Produced by Jim Elliot, the drum-and-bass leftover is filled with ambient verses and a wobble-till-you-dance chorus that feels meant for larger exposure. The song originally premiered on Skins (UK, of course), but has no official release plans at this time. You can stream the track below.
Halcyon was admittedly uneven, but we thought it was a solid offering from Goulding. If she chooses to do a deluxe reissue, I certainly hope “You, My Everything” makes an appearance. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the new material.
