Jay-Z Unveils ‘Magna Carta’ Art at Salisbury Cathedral

It’s not common to reveal your album art at a place of worship, but when you’re Jay-Z you can do that sort of thing.

Hova announced on his site, Life+Times, that you could see the cover art for his upcoming release, Magna Carta Holy Grail at Britain’s Salisbury Cathedral. That also happens to be the place the actual Magna Carta resides. Jay’s Magna Carta is set up right beside the real thing.

This man knows a thing or two about marketing doesn’t he?

The Dean of Salisbury the Very Revd June Osborne is “delighted” to have Jay’s art on display there and said, “Jay Z is creating a huge awareness of this historic document and its modern significance to a huge audience … We hope to welcome many of his fans here this summer to see the artwork.”

Magna Carta Holy Grail drops July 9, but the first million people who happened to download the Samsung MCHG Android app will be getting it tomorrow.
