Mac Miller Releases “Gees” Video Featuring Schoolboy Q

Pennsylvania native Mac Miller has released the official video for his new single, “Gees.”

The latest song off Mac’s recently released Sophomore effort Watching Movies With The Sound Off, “Gees” pairs the Rostrum Records star with longtime friend Schoolboy Q against a beat that is all kinds of ridiculous. Though both emcees are capable of rapping circles around a number of the biggest names in the game right now, this track is more of a relaxed, carefree rhyme fest with referencing to girls, drugs, and all the fun you can have when you’re young and rich. Fittingly, the video matches this loose vibe with colorful visuals, comedic moments, and plenty of imagery that could send conservative parents running for the hill. You can view the video below.

Watching Movies With The Sound Off came out the same day as Yeezus and went on to sell over 100k copies in its first week out. We never found the time to review the album, but I highly recommend any fan of hip hop that strays from the ego/violent tendencies of most the top contenders check it out at their earliest convenience. Mac is here to stay, and though “Gees” is a silly track his talent is indisputable. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the video.
