MUSIC VIDEO: Kanye West – “Black Skinhead”

With Kanye West‘s new album, Yeezus, still getting plenty of spins, he’s released a music video for “Black Skinhead” to go along with it. This marks the first official music video for a song off this album (since his “New Slaves” video was really just projections on building facades and the album promo video wasn’t for a song). As with the majority of information surrounding Yeezus, the video basically appeared out of nowhere today. Surprise?

The video features footage already seen on his SNL performance and his live show at the Governors Ball Music Festival, only now with some pretty bad CGI of the muscly musician rapping. It’s practically a 90s video game praised with universal “Best Graphics of the Year!” from critics. The footage at Governors Ball felt repetitive, but I’m not sure if this makes it wildly better or worse.

Yeezus should be getting a tour in the near future. Although it’s possible Yeezus Part 2 will come out before then. This is Kanye we’re dealing with, so who really knows?

EDIT: Kanye West tweeted saying that the following video is NOT the official “Black Skinhead” music video.
