Watch Jay-Z Perform “Picasso Baby” for Six Hours

Turns out Jay-Z spent yesterday doing a conceptual marathon performance of “Picasso Baby” at New York City’s Pace Gallery…for six straight hours. Maybe the rapper was a little jealous of The National’s performance of “Sorrow” for six straight hours at MoMA not too long ago. Watch footage from Jay-Z’s performance below the jump.

The whole performance was filmed, the footage supposedly to be compiled later for the song’s music video. A number of high rollers and celebrities were in the audience for the performance, including director Judd Apatow, Girls actor Adam Driver, Jerry Saltz, Wale, George Condo, and Marina Abramović.

“Picasso Baby” is off his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, which recently received a platinum plaque for its first week sales. The 1 million copies purchased by Samsung, however, did not count towards his Billboard ranking.
