WTF: ‘Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa’ Hits Theaters October 25

Following hot on the heels of news Paramount Pictures has delayed Paranomal Activity 5 from October 25 to January 2014, the studio has announced plans to release Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa in October instead.

Rumored at the end of 2013 then forgotten (or in our case, hoped to be a lie), Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa is a full length spinoff from the original Jackass franchise starring the elderly character created by Johnny Knoxville and Spike Jones. It’s unclear at this time how the crew plans to stretch the character’s antics to feature length, but we assume with a release in just over three months that we’ll begin seeing trailers and posters soon. You can view a classic Bad Grandpa skit at the end of this post.

If you’re wondering why a Jackass spinoff is headed to theaters, take a few moments to visit Box Office Mojo and research the franchise. Every theatrical installment of Jackass has brought in $60 million domestic ($170 million international), and even if this entry tanks it would take a colossal disaster to not make back the initial investment.
