It’s been a minute since the last track from Royalty dropped. This was the last mixtape Donald Glover released under the Childish Gambino moniker.
There’s been a few features here and there, Kilo Kish and Chance the Rapper gave him some verses, but nothing 100% Gambino for months. This isn’t really surprising considering the amount of shoes Glover has to fill. What with writing, acting, and his occasional stand-up appearances, he’s a busy guy.
It looks like he’s put some studio time into his schedule, though. Today’s new tune, “Centipede,” is a certified jam. A throwback with a wallop of polish.
