Under The Gun sent photographer, Corbin Alvae, to The Crofoot in Pontiac, MI to catch MyChildren MyBride, ERRA, and Death Of an Era.

So last week, Monday actually, I set out to Pontiac, MI for the MyChildren MyBride tour. First off, the weather here in Michigan right now is absolutely horrendous and the day of the tour was just terrible, not only from the heat, but the unexpected rain storm. That right there alone killed my vibe. Once I got to the venue though, everything was fine and I was excited to see these three bands on this tour. Now, I’ve been a huge fan of MyChildren MyBride ever since the Mitchell Davis days (remember him?) and getting to see them up close and personal was super cool.

Anyway, the tour kicked off with Ohio metal band, Death Of an Era. I’ve heard a bunch of buzz about them from some friends, so I needed to catch their set. I personally enjoyed it — the band’s tracks definitely hit super hard like a punch in the face.

After them, Alabama metalcore band, ERRA, took the stage. I remembered checking them out a couple times online, I dig their tracks a lot and just how hard the music is, filled with on and off clean vocals and heavy chugs makes this band a group not to miss when they’re in your city. The interaction as well during ERRA’s set was definitely sweet and their fan base that night definitely had energy to let out, and dammit they brought it hard! Great performance.

After ERRA, we have our headliner, MyChildren MyBride. Like I said above, I’ve been a fan of MCMB ever since Mitchell Davis did his MCMB cologne skit. Hilarious, I must say. The band kicked things off with an opening track off their newest album, which immediately put out the impression that MCMB was there to just tear that venue up, and holy hell did they. I definitely enjoyed their set and them closing with the track “On Wings Of Integrity” was a great way to end the night.

Even though the tour was small, it brought the punch to Pontiac for the fans to enjoy. Be sure to catch all three bands when they’re in your city!
