Waypoint Signs To Spartan Records, New EP This Fall

Jackson, Mississippi’s ambient post-rock group, Waypoint have signed to Spartan Records.

The band has been turning heads since 2009 by blending their hardcore roots with today’s emerging indie sound. Since the start, Waypoint have been able to hone their unique, dark sound over the years.

Following the tragic death of their bass player and dear friend, Emezie Harrison, the band kicked things up a notch in the studio, releasing their 2012 record, Hollow Ground.

Today, the group is in the process of putting out their Spartan Record debut, due out this fall.

The group’s newest single, “Solus,” is already available to purchase on iTunes and stream on SoundCloud. According to Spartan Records, “Solus” marks one of the darkest, most mature songs Waypoint has released to date. Stream “Solus” below and watch a teaser video from the band promoting their upcoming release.
