Just when you thought Monday had kicked your ass, MMG comes through at the last minute with a track that is sure to please fans worldwide.

Taking to the internet this afternoon without warning, Maybach Music Group ringleader Rick Ross unveiled a new single entitled, “I Wonder Why.” The song features bass-heavy production and a lyrical focus on the problems that seem to follow anyone with money. It’s not exactly outside the box in terms of creativity for Ross, but those looking for another ‘go crazy while testing your car’s bass’ banger have found a new companion to keep them company on the afternoon commute (or morning workout routine). You can stream the single below.

Ross has an interesting fall planned, and it’s not yet clear where “I Wonder Why” will end up. It may be on MMG’s upcoming compilation Self Made Vol 3, which is currently scheduled for a September 17 release, or it may end up on Ross’ long-teased Mastermind, which currently has no street date. Of course, both of these could be wrong and the hip hop kingpin could have a mixtape on deck as well. The only thing we can do until then is sit back, blast “I Wonder Why” until our necks hurt from bobbing along too long, and wait for the Boss to reveal his next move.
