Watch Crystal Castles’ “Untrust Us” Covered by a Children’s Choir

There are some things in life you never expect to see; seeing a children’s choir cover Crystal Castles is one of them. The electronic duo had one of their biggest hits, “Untrust Us,” covered the other day by the famous Capital Children’s Choir, a choir group in London who have worked with Britney Spears, Perez Hilton, and the Pope (yes, really).

Capital Children’s Choir has covered everything from Florence and the Machine to Bjork, but “Untrust Us” seems much more out of left field. Maybe that’s because the song is so heavily electronic with vocal effects, blaring synth, and general sounds not mimicked by the average human voice. “We wanted to cover Crystal Castles because we liked the idea of replacing their synths and percussion using only our voices and hands,” they wrote. So they went to work and recorded their impressive cover in none other than Abbey Road Studios.
